There's scandals, and then there's scandals.

To some on both the right and the lest side of the political aisle, this week, due to the three scandals supposedly out there, may be the start of a the downfall of the Obama Administration. Actually, to the right, it was what they hope will be the downfall. But really, are the scandals real, and is the Obama Administration in trouble?

Well, when it comes to Benghazi, there really isn't a scandal. What happened? Well, most of the intel we got from the area in the first few days came from a CIA operation in Benghazi. And naturally, the CIA wanted nothing of their operation known. So, talking papers were redacted to remove all information that the CIA had gleaned. After the CIA operation was known, leaked by a GOP Congressman by the way, then everything was told. Then there's the IRS going after right-leaning group. Is this bad? Yes! But it is a much bigger scandal that these groups, and those on the left, are actually non-profit, non-taxable groups that don't have to declare who gave them money. A section of the tax code for groups that was deemed good for communities to build things like parks and schools and is therefore non-political and not helping any one person, and that is where the scandal is at. Does anyone really think that groups like Carl Rove's groups, Tea Party groups, or Glen Beck's group isn't political and doesn't help one person? That's the real scandal. Now, we find out that the Department of Justice (DOJ) was bugging reporters for the Associated Press. Actually, DOJ got wiretaps to find out where the reporters had gotten certain information about a bomber. Yes, this is a violation of the First Amendment, and a true scandal that needs to be looked into.

So why is the GOP tying everything back to Benghazi? The answer is very simple. Nobody likes the IRS, and the GOP has made sure there is no Head of the IRS, so that scandal can't be laid on anyone's (i.e. The President's) door. Then, when it comes to the media and the press, you think the GOP thinks of them as a friend? Of course not. Now, they'll look at both of them and investigate them, but watch as the GOP tie everything back to Benghazi. They can blame this on President Obama and smear Hillary Clinton at the same time, at least to their far-right-wing backers. That's not true, of course, but the truth's not what they care about. They care about the next election, so that's the scandal they'll harp on. There's scandal, and then there's real scandals, and the GOP won't go after them.
