Was Tuesday night planned?

I was quite surprised to see the reaction of Tuesday night's speeches. I didn't watch the speeches, as I'm sure I know approximately what each person is going to say. And no, I didn't watch them because I don't care what they have to say. I won't watch the Democrats and their convention next week either. No, I'm sure that Ann Romney spoke very well and spoke glowingly about her husband ( It would be front page news if she didn't. No spouse has ever spoke about the bad time). You weren't expecting to hear about any times they may have fought, did you? And I'm sure that all the other speakers, from Walker and Christie to Mitt Romney himself will say how bad the President is doing in his job and how much better things will be under a GOP nomination. And I'm sure that next week, the Democrats will just reverse things. But while not much will surprise me, every day will bring small but important surprises. Tuesday's surprise was simply in the lack of planning by the GOP, and the reaction to it. So it was planned that after Ann Romney talked and Mitt came on stage, there'd be another speech? Yes, the tone of the 2 speeches couldn't be any different, but shouldn't the last thing of the night be Mitt's arrival? Now, as far as Christie's speech, was any of his words known to the Romney camp, or even his general overview? Gov. Christie, who presides over a state where the unemployment rate is almost 1.5% higher than the national average, spoke of respect over love after Ann spoke of love. Christie talked about how Mitt Romney would tell America the hard truth. Really? So, what departments would a Romney eliminate from the cabinet, as he has said he would get rid of 3 or 4? What plan does Romney have to be energy independent in 2020? Get the idea? Romney has given the American people no specifics about what he'd do because he knows when he does, it won't add up.
So, was Tuesday night at the GOP convention really planned? If so, is this the type of planning we can expect if Romney is elected? And if not, can we expect better planning if Romney's elected?
