GOP: We'll pay for tornado relief by taking money from the poor.
The GOP Tea Party has again reminded all Americans exactly how cruel they can be by saying that any relief for tornado relief must be offset somewhere else in the budget. Okay, exactly where? From the Department of Defense? No, of course not. By closing loopholes for big businesses? Of course not! So where will the offsets come from? Well, the only place it can come from, domestic spending. So, from the poor and the elderly, from infrastructure and education, and from research and investments, then? That's right, that's where they'd have to cut if they refuse to look anywhere else. It doesn't matter that sequestration cut those programs. That's the only place the GOP Tea Party would cut money from, or in other words, they'll only look in places that they want the budget cut taken from, even if there was no tornado relief. The GOP Tea Party has shown itself again to be small, petty, mean, and cruel. Even in a time of crisis, they believe in taking from the poor to pay for disaster relief. And this is the party of Christian values? Yeah, right.
