They said what? More lies from the right

There were a few things that I heard over the weekend and Monday that I still cant believe:

I wonder how many people in Boston wish they had a gun 2 weeks ago. And, the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. -- Wayne LaPierre, NRA. -- Oh really, Wayne. So the MIT security officer that had a gun stopped the bombers, right? No, he was killed. The next person the bombers met had no gun, so I guess he was killed, right? No, he lives. So Wayne, you want to tell me how the good guy with a gun stopped the bad guy with a gun again? And by the way, Wayne, tell me how a background check stops a good person from getting a gun. It doesn't, does it? It just makes it harder for a bad mad to get a gun.

You know, where I come from, we call that war in the 1860s the war of northern aggression, not a civil war.-- James W. Porter, new NRA President. -- I'm sorry to tell you James, but the south tried to secede. And Fort Sumter was fired on by the seceding state and the Confederate States of America. Hey James, A civil war isn't a war where everyone plays nice, it's when a group tries to break away from the government by armed rebellion. And that's exactly what happened in 1861. But,on a better note for you, I think you and Wayne, since you can't tell the truth, will get along really well together.

Liberals seem to be in a quandary with Dr. Gossner. They agree that he was killing babies by bashing their heads in on the table, but they think it's okay in the womb. -- Rich Lowry, Conservative writer. -- Sorry Rich, but I know of no liberal who thinks it's alright to take a viable baby out of the womb and kill it, or to kill it in the womb. The idea of legal abortions is to cease a pregnancy safely before it is a child if the mother chooses. Even in the case of a mother's life in jeopardy, all liberals want a viable embryo to be a child and to have a chance at life. We want women to know that they have options in case they can't or won't carry an embryo to term. But it should also be done safely, and at the earliest date, which is why Roe v. Wade severely limits late-term abortions. Now, I can't really speak for all liberals, but Rich, you should try to either.

Some times, conservatives open up their mouth and either a big lie comes out, or a broad generalization that doesn't accurately how liberals feel. I wonder why they think they can get away with it. Oh that's right, Fox News and Tea Party politicians not only let them, but they lead the band.
