Calm before the storm

I have TIVO'd the Tea Party debate, and before I rip them all apart, I just have a few thoughts.
-- How many more injuries will there be in the NFL this year that will rip teams apart? If there's another lockout, please allow the players to workout at the facilities and get medical help.
-- Have two teams ever won their division one year and got one of the top 3 picks in the draft the next year? With the Colts and the Chiefs, it could happen this year. It may have happened with 1 team, but I doubt with 2.
-- Gov. Perry, you may have zero state income tax, low unemployment, and oil under you, but I wouldn't want to live there. I read where the first day a city in your state got above 95 was in April this year, and now in mid-September, most cities in your state are in the 100s with a drought. Tell me again why you don't believe in global warming?
-- Last year, Alex Gordon was recalled from AAA, and hit less than .240, and this year he is over .295 with 20 homers and 75 RBIs, and leads the majors in outfield assists. Can a player be comeback player of the year if he never had a good year before?-LOL!!!
-- Classify these one under the " I Shit You Not" category ( stolen from Robert Wuhl, I believe. It was a comedy special on HBO)
    John Huntsman stood at a podium and expected applause from an audience full of Tea Party members-I Shit You Not
    If the Colts go 3-13 this year, the NFL MVP award will not be named after Payton Manning, but it should be- I Shit You Not 
    Congress said that the President was unwelcome to speak to them last Wednesday night because they had too much to accomplish. And how many bills did they pass that night? That's right, 0, nada, zip. And if that wasn't bad enough, 4 Tea Party members of Congress refused to go and listen to his speech Thursday night- On both counts, I Shit You Not
    When I went to bed after the football games were over, my fantasy team had won by 4. When I got up, I had lost by 2- I Shit You Not
    But I'm not a bad loser, so since my mom beat me, I will pay for lunch this week- I Shit You Not
    Well, enough for taking the gloves off. Tomorrow, or later today, I will blog about the debate, and from what I've seen, I can rip everyone on stage, and the audience- I Shit You Not--LOL!!!
